DJI Mavic Pro – easy to carry professional drone
This drone is so easy to carry. You fold the arms in and can place it in its carry-bag.
For flying you just click your smart phone in the remote control. Make sure that you have installed the software on your phone and that you already have made connection with your drone before you are out in the bush. Otherwise you can not use the drone at all!! Before flying your drone, calibration has to be done. Just follow the instructions on your screen. Sometimes, it can take a bit but take your time for it. It will make your experience so much easier.
Other most stresssy handlings can be done automatically such as take-off and landing.
Take a photo or make a movie can be done by hitting a button on the screen. And you see what you’re filming. After a secure landing on our landing pad, we are eager to see our footage.
On a computer screen or TV, the images are overwhelming. It’s like we have a movie for National geographic!
The gimbal does its work very good. The footage is quite stable. One of the biggest help is the ‘obstacles avoidance’. The extra eyes on the drone to avoid an obstacle gives a safe feeling while flying the drone.
A small note: on our first flights we have made the beginners mistake of flying the drone with the protection cap on. It looks so perfect that one thinks you have to fly with it. But it is not necessary. It can work also in the wrong way: instead of protecting it for sand and dust, this is collected in the protection cap.
We always carry a second battery with us. It’s not too big and heavy but it already helped us in remote areas.
Our plus
- calibrating, take-off and landing is easy
- quite small to carry
- one can use filters on it if needed
- flight time of +/- 27 min
Attention Points
- Do not forget to make connection between your phone and drone when you have an internet connection!
